I'm supposed to be cooking dinner but I'm sitting here writing, something I've always loved to do. I guess I'll start and tell you how I ended up in Shipman, Illinois a super small town with lots and lots of corn and cows...
Well, it all started with a request from one of my oldest and bestest friends Lindsey. She wanted me to take a fourth of July road trip to St. Louis with her to visit the guy she had been dating. I had just graduated from Troy University and was excited to travel somewhere that I had never been before so I of course buttered my daddy up and he funded my trip!
After a long and tiring day of travel we finally arrived not in St. Louis but in Shipman...it's a bit of a long story so I'll make this short and sweet...Lindsey was a travel nurse in St. Louis, met a boy from Shipman...I met his life long neighbor, we hit it off stayed in touch, did the long distance thing for two years, I quit my job and moved up here in June 2009, and we got married on July 24, 2010...
Sure I left a lot out but thats the gist of it..We think it's a pretty neato story to one day tell the grandkids on the front porch while we sit in our rocking chairs!!!
