MONDAY

Well, I made a decision and my decision is...

I'm taking an online class starting MONDAY to get my middle school endorsment...I spoke to the Regional Office of Education and they reviewed my transcript and said that I have enough credit in Language Arts and Social Studies but I have to take the two required classes to teach middle school age kids...I start Adolescent Growth and Development MONDAY...

It's been fun (said with LOTS of sarcasm) getting all of the paperwork filled out and sent to Greenville College...

this class requires you to use Live Text for assignments...well I used it during my internship portfolio and my lesson plans...but it was of course expired...I was going to have to pay $98...but GENIUS ME called Live Text today and had the girl pull up my old info and I only had to pay $25 for a renwal fee!!! Go ME :) I am sooo proud!!!

Now my only problem is that I cannot find the two textbooks that I need...Sure, I found them on Amazon but they are not guaranteed to get here before MONDAY...and I have an assignment due MONDAY...

I was extremely nervous before I got stuff done but now I'm pretty excited...to get back into the "education groove"...it's way over due :)

I could take the other class I'm required to take right after this one is over (they are only 3 weeks long) buuuuuut it is right smack dab in the middle of our vacation...and I'm vacationing NOT schooling!!! I'll take it in the fall...

Soooo now I have to decided if I want to start the Master's program...MAE-R better know as Master's of Education in Reading...I kind of laugh thinking about my first two years of teaching and how much work it was to learn a new reading program...but I love it...I love books...and I love helping kids learn to love books!!! buuuut...I'm scared to get my Master's and then no one hire me because I'm on a higher pay scale...

Well, I will probably be scarce of the next 3 weeks...but I promise I'll let you know how it goes...ta ta for now :)
